MATHEMATICS RUBRIC 4 -Rating offers clear and convincing evidence of a deep knowledge of the mathematics related to this task. All answers are correct and are accompanied by appropriate methods. Minor computational errors are allowable. 3 -Rating offers evidence of substantial knowledge of the mathematics related to this task. All answers are correct but the method is missing or incorrect in one part of the problem. Minor computational errors are allowable. - OR One or both answers to part (a) are incorrect due to flawed diagram. Student does not show a diagram but the remainder of the task is done correctly. Minor computational errors are allowable. - OR Part (a) is correct but the answer to (b) or (c) is incorrect or missing but the methods used are appropriate. 2 -Rating offers limited or inconsistent evidence of knowledge of the mathematics related to this task. Two parts are incorrect or missing but an acceptable procedure is apparent in the part that is answered correctly. 1 -Rating offers little or no evidence of knowledge of the mathematics related to this task. None of the answers are correct. - OR Correct answers appear but there is little or no evidence that they result from acceptable procedures. |
