proprietary sound format sponsored by Microsoft and IBM. .wmf - Windows Meta File format. Native vector file format for the Microsoft Windows operating environment. When a WMF file is "played back" a graphic is rendered. These files are device-independant and have no limit to their size. .wpg - WordPerfect Graphics Metafile. Native graphics file format of the WordPerfect Corporation line of software products. These files may store bitmapped or vector graphics data, or Encapsulated PostScript data as well. .wri - Write format. Native file format of Microsoft Write, a text editor. .wrk - "Works in progress". Native file format of Cakewalk, a program used to create digital audio. .wrl - 3D World files. Native file format of VRML, an ASCII format that describes objects in a hierarchy. |
